there's been a number of tourism commerical playing on the tv recently,curious, i decided to youtube & watch other countries's tourism commercial just to compare & see how they look like.

comparing other countries & singapore's tourism commercial,singapore's ad seem really mediocre & half the time i was watchin it,my mouth was hanging wide open disgusted by what i saw.

i mean,seriously?ah du?!

he sang "Dream On" on Glee.i personally think that he sang it better than Matthew Morrisons.

Neil Patrick Harris is famous for portraying his role as Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother :)

however, he didn't win Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series despite being nominated for it:( he so totally deserve it!

My virgin cruise trip

I’m back from cruise~ the title of this blog entry is my virgin cruise trip.ok,I know what you guys must be thinking,you’re thinking, “are you serious?this is your first time on a cruise?!” well, yes and no,apparently I’ve b een on a cruise before when I was much younger(around 4-6 years old?) it’s just that I don’t remember it at all. Also, I’ve not been on a cruise ever since then because my parents found cruise to be extremely boring. So it’s considered my virgin cruise trip.

Since my parents found it boring?why did my mum and dad wanna go on a cruise this time?

well,for YEARS,my grandma who goes on cruise trip at least 3 times a year kept telling my family that it’s really very fun and the food is great,etc. So when we had the opportunity to go on a cruise on a cheaper price (due to free $500 vouchers) we hopped on board to Superstar Virgo.

I was pretty excited to go cruise as I always imagined it to be really big and classy like a hotel only it’s floating.

So before boarding, I was imagining all sorts of awesome classy stuff like marble flooring, huge fountains and statues,enormous swimming pool,lots of cool entertaining stuff and so on. suite life on deck probably fuel my imagination

IT’S NOT WHAT I IMGAINE IT TO BE :((

the flight of staircase to the lobby.which franky was quite okay.it wasn’t fantastic but it was bearable.the golden horse galloping out of the waterfall looks kinda cheena looking(no offence)

SMALL ROOMS WITH NO VIEW! & the toilet sinks!

Swimming pool.it looks nice at night but it’s actually quite small. Max 3 lanes only

Anyways, after day 1 touring around the ship,I kinda regretted going. It’s FREAKING BORING@! The food aint nice, the room sucks, the pillow vibrates when I lay down to sleep there’s nothing much to do on the ship basically.

And you know what’s the worst thing of them all?!

I’M OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN/SEA AND I CAN’T LEAVE THE SHIP UNTIL IT LANDED!

I’m not hydrophobic or anything but it’s just I feel so confined in the ship. I mean if I were in a hotel, I can walked out of the hotel and shopped around nearby,but on the ship,you can’t!

Maybe I’m a little claustrophobic(just a little)

& I feel cheated by my grandma who claims that going on a cruise is FUN!i finally figure out why she thinks it’s fun & why I don’t.

She practically camped out in the casino on the cruise ship!!! Even forgoing sleep and food just to play the jackpot :S & I think her staying too long in the casino temporary impair her taste buds thus everything taste nice to her.

Well,the only HIGHLIGHT of the trip was that we went on a short shopping trip to KL after the ship landed in port klang(spelling). We were supposed to have 4-5 hours of shopping in KL but apparently,the journey from the port to KL takes 1-1.5hr which means we only had 3 hours of shopping time.

Anyways, we picked the shopping district of KL,which is where LOT 10,starhill,pavilion and sungei wang are. Shopped around Lot10 and pavilion and only bought a presentation top and pants :/ wanted to go for the fish spa at pavilion but due to time constraint we didn’t.

Yes,your eyes did not deceive you, it’s my second blog post for the day. Nor sure if you can see this but the title of this blog post is call “boredom strikes”. It is the reason why im blogging AGAIN.

I can’t believe im saying this but it’s only been the 2^nd day since my holidays started and im already feeling bored.these feelings dont come so soon during the holidays,they come AFTER i’ve my fair share of fun and joy.

That’s about it. really wanna learn more about the photoshop effects,so far, i’ve tried the lomo and pop art effect.

The lomo effect that i did doesn’t look nice or as obvious so im gonna find another picture to try again.

As for the pop art effect,i tried and i got the basic polka dotted effect but to add colour in is kinda hard,so...i gave up doing halfway

Been a long while since i last blogged so im gonna shared lots of overdue photos.

Let’s see, me and Xueqi went to JB for a 1 day shopping spree!:D

It was the Saturday before school reopens in April. We meet at Kranji MRT at around 12pm? Not really sure about the details as it was like 2 months ago?

We hopped on to the bus and off we go~

Its a good thing that i went with Xueqi and not other people, because i was totally clueless what to do once we reach there and Xueqi have to guide me through what we are suppose to do:)

Anyways,long story cut short, we arrived JB and began our shopping spree! But before we eat of course.

For lunch,we went to kimgary.

Xueqi says its sort of famous hongkong cafe and apparently they have 2 outlets in Singapore

First week of school

Well,it’s official! It’s back to school!

It’s only been 3 days since school started.so far,it’s quite relaxed since the projects have not come in yet.

But i predict that i shld be busy from next week onwards or the following week. Sigh...gonna enjoy while i still can.

Here’s my timetable!

Quite good actually,despite the fact that i have to go to school at 8am on 4 days.

I actually end school at 12noon on 3 days! Woots! Awesome!can go back home and slack :D

So far,i like most of my lecturers,they all SEEM nice.

Don’t really like my CB=consumer behaviour lecturer. I don’t know, it seems that ALL business module teachers are like :S

I panicked BIGTIME while registering for gems & i didn’t click fast enough :(

Plus i was using google chrome instead of Internet explorer,so i couldn’t register.

Oh....i’m really really worried about my MMR &CB project. It’s a COMBINE group project that make up to 35% of our CA.

4-6 people in a group! BUT....sigh... X(who is sort of an outcast in the class & always MIA for projects) is in my group!!!!:(

We didn’t want her in our group one(we had 4 ppl initially) & we even told MS to delete the sms that X sent asking if she can join our group.

& Today, she asked us face to face if we can join her group! I REALLY REALLY WANTED TO SAY NO!

But like kinda bad,because i know 2 other groups already rejected her.(yes!she’s that bad) & NICE MS didn’t know how to reject her.

Okays, now i know what you’re thinking, why is Resurrection day also known as Easter day?

Well,according to Wikipedia(don’t know how true),

The name Easter comes from “Eastre” an Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess. Also the Norse goddess,Ostara who took her name from the Teutonic lunar goddess Eostre

Most people spent their Saturday(the day before Easter) painting and decorating Easter egg. Parents would then hid the eggs all over the house and garden and the children would then have to look or hunt for them.

Sounds really fun right? If only we get to celebrate Easter(other than attending Church) here in Singapore. It’ll be fun decorating the eggs and munching on chocolate rabbits :D

I’m officially 19!

Well,to be honest, I wasn’t as happy or as excited for this year’s birthday.

I don’t know,I guess im pretty disappointed in some of my closest and longest friends. I’m just disappointed that friends of more than 6years could forget my birthday. I keep checking my facebook, my email, my phone,everything but it instead,it’s someone else. Don’t tell me that you can’t sms or something, because even whose whom I known for just a year and are overseas even wished me happy birthday in advance, using the internet from France to wish me.

Im not asking for presents or anything,I just want a simple happy birthday that’s all, but it just seem that maybe im not as important or I don’t mean as much for them to remember my birthday.

It seems as though the longer you have a friend, the easier it is for them to forget such minute little things.

And strange, friends that im not so close with or I just knew are the ones that remember. Funny isn’t it?

I’m not gonna say any names but just know that I’m kinda disappointed. & don’t bother asking me who I’m referring to because yet if you asked,I would probably lie and said it’s someone else.

My virgin night out

As the title suggest,this blog entry will be focusing on my virgin night out to clubbing. Well actually there’s a earlier part before me and ppq and chujun when out clubbing,but im kinda lazy to blog about that(a lot more pictures to upload) and i’m gonna post it as another entry another day.

On wed(ladies night)

After having our(ppq and me) dinner and washing up, both ppq and i changed into our clubbing outfits:) and quickly applied our makeup because chujun(ppq’s friend) who is in town waiting for us is rushing us.we are supposed to meet at 8pm ,but we pushed it back to 8.30pm and later on 9pm,which nonetheless,chujun got tired of waiting and so we had to quickly rush to Clarke quay to meet her.

Took a cab to Clarke quay to meet chujun. Fyi: chujun is the expert in clubbing so naturally she lead us around. Anways,we walked around Clarke quay for a while as chujun thought of which club to go.we finally decided to go arena to collect the stamp first before there is a q.

Went in to arena and it was PRETTY!~ it’s really big and they had this huge automatic sliding door to transcend you from the entrance of the club to the inside drinking around.

They had the music playing already but it’s pretty empty and the they have not given out the FREE lychee martini yet(it was around 9plus?) we check with the staff and they said that the free martinis will only be given out at 10pm or 10.30(can’t remember) we decided to leave first and we are back on the streets of Clarke quay.

We went to attica and the doors are not open yet.again we asked, and they said that the doors will only be open in 10.30pm. so we ordered a drink each and waited at the outside sitting area of attica.

After a couple a snaps and drinks, we tried our luck getting into attica early & yes!we got in early,thanks to chujun who is rather pally with the bouncer at attica(told you she’s an expert!we got in at 10pm instead of 10.30pm) attica this time as totally different from arena.it was darker than arena,colder with only a few beam of coloured spotlight flashing.

With 5 complimentary free drinks each. our first alcohol,we did a shot(it was not suppose to be free but somehow we got it free:D). I think it was volka with lemon or something with lemon?i can’t remember.and oh god! It was really potent!luckily there’s a lemon to suck on to and make it less spicy as it is.

After the first shot,i can feel myself getting high~ we had the house’s champaign and it was really nice and bubbly.i couldn’t really remember what we were talking about as the music was pretty loud but i remember myself laughing.LOL!i had 2 whiskey coke later on and we left afterwards.

The bouncer wanted chujun to stay and keep the party going but we still left and we had 1lollipop each:)

We head back to arena and there was already a long q forming outside arena,luckily we got the stamp later and do not have to wait.we had 2 glasses of lychee martini before leaving. I remembered 2 of the lychee martini spill on the table(i forgot how it happen) and we had to get new ones. We left after the free lychee martini,yea...we are cheapos we went in to get free drinks.

Next stop, zouk!~

We cab to zouk and i think i lost my extra camera battery in the cab as i remember trying to find it but couldn’t(probably because i was kinda drunk). BUT ZOUK was fun! I can’t really remember the layout of zouk,but i think they had 2 dance floor.

the first one has a platform where the bouncer stood on top and showed us the steps to mambo night. But before mambo night started and the dance floor was kinda empty, we danced with a group of Caucasian girls and i remember dancing on the platform with them.

after dancing to mambo night,chujun led us to another dance floor and we squeeze right to the middle and started dancing. I think we danced with 3or 4 different groups of guys?i can’t remember their faces,but i remember moving places a few times.

Some of the guys are really eww...ppq told me that 1 of the guy told her that he was her guardian angel,yucks! And some of them even say stuff like i’ll look after your friend,but i rmb saying no to them.lol!

Anyways,i would say zouk was awesome!~and i would definitely go back there again!:D oh yah,by the time we cab back to pq’s house,it was already around 2 plus?or 3?can’t remember.

Chujun was great man! She really protected us and help me when i almost fell(a few times i think?):)) thanks chujun for the great night out!

Taking a breather from school work and giving my much neglected bloggie some love. Look at my last post and you will realise that it has been more than a month. wow!time really flies huh? As usual,school projects are burying me alive,so much so that i couldn’t really breathe *grasp*

I’ve got lots to update.

1^st: Merry Belated Christmas

2^nd:i spent most of my 3 weeks holiday doing projects L

3^rd:it’s a new year now, 2010

4^th: Esther Tan migrated to Melbourne i will miss her L

5^th:finally finish and handed in my flash banner and web pages

6^th:managed to meet up with pq J,but Christine is missing L

7^th:3 projects down, 3 more to go plus 1 more paper!

8^th:manage to get a location to film for dvpaJ\

9^th:watched princess & the frog with esther, Sherlock holmes with peiqi and Alvin and the chipmunks 2 with minshanJ))

I’ve been deciding if i should go overseas for university. i’m actually more towards to go overseas than staying.

Okays,here are some of the reasons why i want to go into a overseas university.

1) 1st) Honestly,i don’t think i can get into my desired course(media and comm) in local university due to high demand and limited resources(omg!i’m applying econs here!).which basically means that i will be fighting and shoving with lots of strangers with places in local university.

2) T 2nd) the minimum requirement for poly students to get into a local universities is to have a GPA 3.5 and above! It’s freaking 3.5 lahs! 4 is like the full marks or something.

3 ) 3rd )I’ve being dying to have more freedom by going overseas whereby my parents can’t control me(other than finances)

4) I4th) i’ve always wanted to travel overseas and stay for a while

5) 5th)Yes,even though there are other local universities like SIM and SMU,i’m not interested in them. mainly because they don’t specialise or are not known for arts courses and secondly,my jc chemistry teach used to say that if you don’t want to study and get good results,you can always leave now and go apply for SMU(or is it SIM?can’t rmb).

6) 6th) private local universities are much more costly and some companies don’t even acknowledge some of these degrees.

7) 7th) Like what Ms Trudy has said,overseas graduates have a breathe of fresh air overseas and they will tend to hire them.

There all 7 reasons to justify my reasons for wanting to go overseas to study.

Okay,next question.

If i were to study overseas,where would it be?

It would of course be Melbourne, silly! I doubt my parents would even allow me to study overseas if it wasn’t Melbourne that i want to go to.

Mainly because i have lots of relatives there? I mean there’s my father side of my family :/(which sadly,i’m not close to and i would very much hate it if i were force to keep in contact with them,no i don’t hate them.it’s just that i hate awkward situations and dad’s probably gonna force me to like call them once a month or something)

But,there’s also my mother side of my family,my cousins and cousin-in-law. which i suppose i will have to put up living with my cousin of 3 years older.he’s sort of a slob :/ not very close to him either but at least closer than my cousins from my dad’s side.

There might also be a chance that cousin jailing might be going overseas to study too! Since her course is something culinary and it’s better for her to study overseas as Singapore don’t really have reputable culinary courses. So Yeah,hope she goes overseas too and must be Melbourne!

So far i’ve already check out the websites of different universities in Mel and the courses they offer.kinda interested in their arts faculty but i don’t know the requirement to get in and seriously.i can NEVER write to save my life! I mean esp journalism,i think the English standard there is higher and i’ll confirm do very badly.

Yups!by the end of this post,i’m like 70-90% wanting to go overseas to study.but oh wells, just a thought.i still have 2 more years to go before i’m out of polytechnic.

this semester has been rather surreal so far, it's like a blink of eye and it's already the 5th week of school. i'm already counting down for the holidays already!

this semester so far has been pretty relax as compared to last semester.i even have time to catch up on heroes & watch some new dramas,like modern family.

school reopened like 3 weeks ago,monday will be the 4th week,projects have been coming in. HEWH! modules for this semester are much more interesting, i feel that we are touching more on the advertising side for this semester!

YAHH! there's digital video production and application; intro to public relations and advertising;web publishing,all related to advertising.

okays,here's a ad that me and my group did for ipra,we were only given 20 mins to come up with it and present it.proud of myself!

okays,the pepsi logo stands for advertising , because the design of a company's logo are thought of by the advertising department.
David beckham stands for public relations,because a celebrity's reputable depends on the public relations people.
add them all up and you have IPRA!

oooh,my group also visited an advertising agency(gosh advertising),it's really a eye-opener to me.because you get to know more about the job and work in the ad industry.it sounds fun!but the work hours are longgg (16 hrs a day!) you have to be ready to face rejection when your idea for the ad gets rejected.
but all in all the visit is very aspiring and interesting.

YAHHHS!blogger if finally up and working!:D
so i'm gonna update and try to load up as many photos as possible.

XX-09-09(forgot the exact date)
on XXday, we(me,minshan,thivya,hwee leng and elfi) went to the army openhouse.i know,i bet most of you are thinking wth am i doing there since i confirm plus chop not gonna join the army. i just went because minshan wanted to go and since it's boring ttm during the holis might as well go see see look look.

anyways,meet up with thivya, hwee leng,minshan and jia le for lunch at pepperlunch at XXpm.after a full but delicious lunch,we waited for elfi for awhile before boarding the "ferry" to the army openhouse. i seriously thought that there was gonna be a ferry as in = boat ride.but it turns out that the "ferry" was only a bus :( disppointment!

arrive at the army open house and we went to the obstacles course.their like flying fox,absailing,live round etc to try.minshan and elfi wanted to try the flying fox,but didn't in the end as the 'q' was rather long.

OUR HANGOVER

IT’S BEEN a really really long time since I last blogged. I feel so bad for not neglecting my blog :( but I have a very very good excuse!(somehow or rather I always manage to find excuses for myself :s) the last few weeks I have been busy trying to complete my projects and study for exams! I wanted to blog after the straight away after the exams, but I just keep procrastinating (it’s a very bad habit of mine). So I decided that by hook or by crock I must blog today.
Right! Since I mention projects, I finally completed by design basics project.

Here’s how it looks like

Look me quite a long time to do.because I had to edit lots of stuff, like cropping out the bottle and the brightness of background colour.But the most difficult was the head.i crop in the entire head in,mainly because the original one,the girl’s expression isn’t as nice,so I decided to crop in one where her smile is nicer.it took me quite a long time to make the head look natural.

Next is the static web banner:

For some reason I couldn’t print screen the web page using both my lappy and my computer,so I asked thivya to help me print screen(which is why you see the msn conversation). Anyways, the time spent on the web banner faster than the print ad,mainly because I had an idea how to synergise the advertisement.

It’s only when I handed in my print ad,I realise that my tagline is not clear. ARGHH!!! I bet many of you are thinking that my tagline is “Now you can enjoy one of life’s simple pleasures” ,but no,my tagline is “let me take care of your tea woes”. ARGGG!!!

Exams are officially over!WOOTS! I’m on a 6 week holiday now(starting from next week),so it means that I actually have around 6 weeks and 5 days of holiday!;DD

Due to my course,I only have 3 papers, ITB(ms words test) ,Marketing and Communication principles. I’m not too worried about ITB & Communication Principles as I find the paper do-able.but I fear for my marketing paper!shucks,I think I’m gonna fail that paper,my answers like don’t really tally with others :/ I so don’t have the business brain! Hopefully,all my projects and attendance will will me pass? So far for all my projects ,I have been getting As. I know, since I’m bad at marketing ,how come I can get As for all my marketing project,hahas…because it’s a group work? And somehow it seems a lot easier when you discuss it with others.

Now on to a happier tune, meet up with PPQ for hangover date!(we didn’t get a hangover,it’s the movie called hangover.) so nice seeing her after er…1-2 months?

we went vivo and watch The Hangover,it’s hilarious!;D it doesn’t sounds as gross out as what bella said.it’s funny!i keep laughing throughout the whole movie. It makes me feel like going to Vegas and try having a hangover.Hahas..hopefully, I wouldn’t get so drunk up until I forget what happen last night or worse,where is my friend!

sorry if i have not been blogging,busy week ahead with deadlines for projects coming up.been really busy with the design basic project.we are suppose to create a print advertisment and a static web banner. the thing about it is that we have to take our own pictures(cannot use ANY pictures off the net) to do the AD.shucks,the deadline is next thursday and i have only started on the print AD. i had to cross out my original idea for the print AD as Ms Nga(DB teacher) said that my idea is not focus enough:( but the lucky thing was that she sort of gave me a hint or idea how to improve on it.YAHHS!!!will post my printed AD up IF i'm happy with it.till then,you wldn't see much of me online or blogging.

Anyways, for IMW,we started learning AD.we learnt to think of captions for pictures and think of a brand name of a product and some advertising stuff.so i'm gonna post some printed advertisment and fummy commerials.

I’m back to blogging!miss me? Let me give you an update on my school life.

IMW(intro to media writing)
My media writing assignments that i did so far is getting worse-ER & worse-ER. LReally disappointed in myself lahs,the first assignment for imw i still get A,then ever since the imw test(i got a c),it’s been sliding DOWNHILL! i can don’t care about imw since i’m not aspiring to be a journalist or news broadcaster,but Ms Gamar is a REALLY REALLY NICE teacher!i enjoy her lessons the most & i don’t want to disappoint her.

Looks like have to do more practice summaries on maybe web writing(since i’m bad at it) and hopefully be able to do better for the imw test on 23 july.

ONOW(our nation,our world.it’s like cme)
Onow sucks to the max man,it’s so annoying having to find charity organisation and propose something to them for cip. Our group keep changing the charity org lahs. We actually wanted to help acres on their education team by going to primary schools to give talks,BUT,acres took a REALLY REALLY long time replying to our emails & when i called to enquire more about it,they said that they are really busy for some conference or whatever and it will take them min 1 freaking week to reply to our proposal. The onow project is like due soon,we have no time to wait for them. My group is still in the process of finding other charity organisation,hopefully,we will heard some good news soon.(prays hard)

Boring module!there’s a test next mon on excel and i know nuts about it

DB(design basic)
The only module that i got my first A!:))) just receive my design journal yesterday and i got 85/100!yeahhsJ but i think everyone did quite well for the design journal,mostly As,a few Bs and 1C. Which makes me think if my journal is really that good or the teachers are being lenient since it’s our 1st project. I got full marks for my alphabet patternJ but i feel that my pattern is kinda ordinary as compared to others.

Anyways,the DB group montage is due next week and there’s still a few adjustment to be made.i still have lots to think about for the poster/advertisement that’s due end of Aug.i know it’s still long way, but i have to think of the company or product to advertise and take the pics.(pics can’t be taken off from the web). Hopefully, some great idea will hit me when i’m in lala land

meet up with rachel,hannah,sally,szehim,eloise at bugis after school.reached there early,so i walked around,trying to kill time.

after some time,hannah,rachel and poo arrive,so we walked to bugis street to meet sally and sze.shop around bugis street for a while(hannah,rachel,sally,well,basically the girls wanted to get the same bag) before we found ILUMA(spelling) and went in and shop.got hungry and decide to have dinner,had trouble trying to decide what to eat,as there's ben 10 cafe;manhattan fish market;mini burger(i forgot the name) and etc etc.we all walk around aimlessly trying to decide wad to have,trying to push someone to make the decision.it was when DANG!quanxiang suddenly said that he wanted to eat at manhattan's that finally solve our problem.

didn't go to school today as i was sick,you i thought i might as well revive my blog since i'm free.let's see,cca week as 2 weeks ago?

ccas that i have signed up so far

1)dance

2)pool and foosball club

3)food connoisseur club

4)student exchange club

i'm already in food connoisseur club and student exchange club alr,as for the dance club,i have audition for it.

there's basically 3 types of dance the dance club focuses on,hiphop,modern and breaking.

and there's like 3 diff audition,don't have to go for every audition,but just the ones you want to get into.i attended the dance clinic(you have to attend for it in order to audition), and they taught 2 dances,hiphop and modern.you're suppose to perform the dance from the dance clinic as the audition piece.i think i'm gonna go for the modern audition only,cos i just realise that i have 2 big left feet and couldn't really coordinate myself in the hiphop dance.there's like a lot of footwork for the hiphop dance,which keep messing up.i blame it on stand far behind, being block by people and following the other freshies when i couldnt see(bad idea)hahas....enough about dance.

i missed the pool trials (dumb me) as i thought the trials was the week after cca week,i only learn from elfi that jethro went for the trials during cca week.so i only had myself to blame for rmbing the wrong day.nvm,jethro wasn't in pool club even though he went for the trials,i heard that they didn't even played match,they just ask you to shoot a few balls in and then they interview.which is kinda of a weird way to get in.

anyways,it's gonna be a busy busy busy week ahead,the pile of projects waiting to be done just increased :/ and there's like a test tmr.media writing test tmr,hopefully i'll do quite alright as i have gotten a b+ and a a- for practices.

it's already the third week of school and i have not been blogging much about school,so here's a update about life in poly.

let' see now,it's barely 3 weeks of school and there's tons of projct waiting for me to do.
there's the:-Our Nation Our World project(something like cip)
-Design basic(by week 6)
-Oral Communication
-Marketing
-Informative Technology for Business(ITB)

yups,these are the projects on hand,most of them are group work except for Design Basic.i can't even remember who is in which project.

school is generally okays,i mean,it's definately a lot less stressful than jc life,there's like only 2 to 4 lessons or lecture a day.sometimes,i don't even listen to the teacher,was busy facebooking or msn or online shopping.hahas..not a A student!it is bad not to listen to the teacher teaching cos you tend to miss out or not understand anything(like the ITB lesson).which is why, i shall resolve to TRY to listen and register what is going on during lesson time.:)

one of the lesson that i actually enjoy myself is Intro to Media Writing,mrs gamar is a nice teacher,she makes it a point to play games with us during each lesson,and from the game we get to learn something about media writing too!:DDDthe 2 modules that didn't register in my brain was probably ITB and Communication Principles.ITB was bcos i wasn't listening to the lesson on networking;CP was bcos i listen but it just didn't register to me,as in i understand what's going on,but if i were to explain it in laymen terms or something i won't know how to.

anyways,usually after school,we would be karaoke partying(thanks to ryn who intro nice games to us!:)) so if u see a group of girls singing near foodcourt 4 it would probably be my class people.it's really fun,shld go and try it!www.karaokeparty.com

hmm..let's see now,today was the first official day of school(last week we had like 3days of orientation)
manage to drag myself up of bed at 6am!!!prepare prepare prepare,was right on time for tutorial.first tutorial was some boring lesson called ITB(i have no idea wad it stands for),the teacher was like teaching us how to use HOTMAIL(which was pretty lame,cos most of use alr know how to use it alr).as it was the first day of sch,lessons and lectures are kinda boring.

somehow on the first day of sch,i kinda miss my pj 08S13 peeps,hmm...it seems like i'm closer to them and warm up to them faster.i dunno,i just feel that in some way or rather,i can't really click with my poly classmates,i dunno,it's just a kind of feeling.or maybe because in pj,we all have a common ''emeny'' that we would all gossip about!LOLS!hopefully,things would get better?

i'm starting to feel the downturn of economy and recession blues!there's like no available jobs,nobody is hiring:(and the worse part is......(drumrolls pls) i'm running out of cold hard cash soon!OMG!this is SO not happening!yes,it's SO happening to me!god,i think i better stop rebutting myself or else people reading might think i'm nuts!(i'll attribute the course of my actions and words to recession blues)

actually,recession doesn't really impact me,but it did on my parents and my sis(who is still jobless).yahh....it impacted on my parents which thus cause my spending cash to be limited,and it doesn't help that i just blew my online shopping budget(i'm only allow to do online twice a month) and me bugging mummy on my gazillions wants cause an undesirable effect on mummy,resulting her to cut my spending cash!bummer!:(

but then again,my econs teacher used to say that we should actually spend MORE to BOAST the economy,so me spending money is actually a GOOD CAUSE!if only mummy and daddy would see the good of me spending money!sighs....i guess i'll have to depend on my piggy bank before mummy appease.

if you are wondering why i did not update my blog this past week,i have i very good reason for that!i had tons of stuff to do,let's see,
i had to:-look for jobs(yes,i'm still jobless desperate the past months of job hunting)

-practice my dance routine(yes,i just took up dancing lessons 2 weeks ago,and i have only practiced it once a week.btw,the song is Brittney's circus)
-do online shopping(i love online shopping!currently shopping at Victoria secret,wetseal,forver21,etc )
-catching up on various drama which i'm so lagging behind
-playing computer games

-figure work how to work the iphone
-ooh,and the last one,shopping for poly clothes(gives me another good excuse to shop!)

so i have been doing all these time-consuming(but some enjoyable)things that has been stopping me from updating my blog!blame it on busy me!LOLS!

hahas,usually i'm the one late(for like a few mins only) and she's the one early(she's always early)

took the train down the somerset and caught bride wars!
omg!the movie is like damn damn damn nice!!!!!it has like a lot of dept into it.it talks alot about friendship and how important it is to have a friend also by your side!:)it really really great show!
i would give it a 5/5 rating!
i really really hope that when it's my time to wed,i would do it with my best friend by having a double wedding!and hopefully,unlike emma and liv in the show,we wouldn't be quarrelling and fighting against each other but be supportive of each other:))))))

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

let's see now,on chu yi( first day of chinese new year),we(my family) went to my grandma's hse from my mum's side.as usual,it was steamboat for lunch.the steam from the steamboat pot kept blowing in my face,making me really hot and sweaty,and the end product?my makeup melted!:(

anyways,after lunch it was boring ville,you know,where you sit infront of the tv like a couch potato,biting on sinfully delicious snacks while waiting for other relatives to arrive.the only excerise being to get up from the couch to shake hands with other people saying 'happy new year'.

it was getting boring,that cousin winson suggested going to the movies.so,into the car we go,with me,qi,ying,cousin winson,cousin samuel,cousin spencer,my cousin-in-law(kevin) and lastly,my sis.

we took a LONG LONG LONG LONG time to reach cathay!sis,being the driver took the wrong way resulting in an 45min -1hour journey ride there!!!!

here's a late late reflection of my life in the year 2008!

what i loved!

-new short hair look

-making new,nice,fun-loving friends in jc

-growing/becoming a more mature person

-more heels prone/steady in walking in heels

-better/faster makeup skills

-saying/kissing suffocating jc life away

what i hate about 2008!

-busy busy hectic,suffocating lifestyle

-sleepless nights worrying about school work

-neglecting some of my secondary,primary school friends and family

-missing out on family time

-never feeling really really happy

hmm....2008 is a year of mixed feelings.i don't regret going into a jc,nor do i regret leaving jc now.i'm glad that i have tasted/experience jc before learning that it wasn't my cup of tea.jc,to me is just so rigid,suffocating,silly(being caught just because your skirt is short),law by law,strict.there are moments where i would regret,thinking,why did i chose this path.this jc path that has cause me to lose out in many other wondrous things in life.family,friends,discontentment in me,a whole miserable cycle of repeating the same thing again and again,etc.deep down in my heart,i know that i wasn't really truly happy.even though there are times when i DO feel happy,it was only a temporary bliss,that seem to fade away from me.it was only after the decision to leave jc,that i feel liberated,free at last.it was as if i was breaking out of prison,having at long last,my first taste of liberation.

now,on to a lighter tone,

ohkays,i know what yah thinking,what took me so long to blog about the hong kong trip?well,i was like busy,doing nothing(i'm just plain lazy).i'm not gonna elaboration much about the hong kong trip,just gonna let the pics do all the talking for me.
anyways,just know that i spent MUCH MUCH MUCH more money in the short few days in hongkong than in taiwan.and that hong kong IS a shopping paradise!!!

TAIWAN/HONGKONG trip!

BORING!that’s how I feel about the Taiwan trip!so I dun think I will be going thru much details on it and let the pics do most of the talking
DAY1
Arrive in Taiwan at around 6+pm,after the hassle of getting our luggage and checking out,we meet up with the tour guide.guide’s name is xiao ai(little love).she brought us to xi men ding and introduce a few tasty and delicious shops to us before having free and easy time.
We had this duck noodles that she introduce.shalln’t comment much on the duck noodles. And we had mang guo bing!(mango ice)!their mango ice is so so so so very nice!the texture of the ice is so soft that it just literally melts in your mouth unlike singapore’s ice kachang.they are also very generous with the mango,it’s cut into big big chucks and it’s really sweet.

After dessert ,we walked around and brought some souvenirs and time’s up to meet back at the coach.

Day2
Went to some temple place(I have no idea what’s the name) and gu gong(some palace museum).can you believe what’s their most prized possessions at the gu gong?it’s actually a jade made into a shape of a white cabbage!LOLS!weird right?anyways,the museum is kind of boring,don’t remember much about it.

After that,we went to liu fu cun(six fortune village,my direct translation in english),which is a amusement park with various theme sectors.kind of like a copycat of Disney land,you know,instead of having Mickey and Minnie,they have 2 monkey like animals/creatures/cartoons,one male and one female having 2 larges ears like Mickey and Minnie.didn’t really ride much rides as the weather is rather chilly with the harsh winds constantly blowing in your face.

After a like,I dunno,3-4 hours ride,we arrive at our destination where we will be having our dinner.it’s a very natural,cave like restaurant,very nice!:))

Dinner was so-so(they claim that it is gonna be the best dinner provided) .

DAY3
Went to some peacock garden and sun moon lake. beautiful scenery at sun moon lake,had our lunch there.totally forgotten what happen next.i blame it on the totally boring schedule,making minimum impression thus causing me to have STM(short-term memory).

DAY4
Forgotten what happen after breakfast,only recall lunch.we had lunch at a mini steam boat place.no pics of me,because my hair was messy.
Went to Taipei 101.it’s a very nice and exclusive building selling only the best(which equals to branded).there’s nothing much to shop there partly because there’s only branded stuff there,they weren’t having sale and we heard that hongkong’s branded stuff there is cheaper and it’s having sale.

Took the coach where it guide showed us where to buy fireworks.shop awhile.

Reached our destination,Shangri-La Farmstay resort,it’s kind of like chalet,but FUNJ.we make tang rou(spelling) and played the top and lastly lit up fireworks!!!!:)))

Day5
Went to a clog making factory and qui(9 in chinese) fen.we had hua sheng quan bao bing qi ling(peanut roll with ice cream).after lunch,it was free and easy.

DAY6
Wake up at around 7plus am prepare myself and took a flight to hongkong.
